Archie Bronson Outfit

This will be my last weather report installment for the "heatwave of 2006" since it finally rained yesterday, taking some of the humidity out of the air. This is a good thing since my windows need to be opened in order to air the place out (of cigarette smell) for my daughter's weekend stay over. Today's band was actually the first one I checked out after work and was an instant decision for featured artist. The rhythm is both deep and driving while the the clicking guitar strokes bring this song to a boil. If you are familiar with bands such as Pere Ubu the vocals will be an instant treat. If not, it might take a while for you to be at ease with the sound. I can almost promise you that after a few listens to this track you will want to hear the rest. Archie Bronson Outfit is a loose rhythm rock trio from Wiltshire, UK. Formed by Sam Windett, Dorian Hobday and Mark Cleveland they moved to art school and were discovered by the proprietor of Domino Records while playing at a local pub. The rest could be (as they say) history but I see an evolution here that might rival that of Cold War Kids or The Drones (who are currently playing on my MySpace page.) I like this one bunches.
