Bowerbirds

One of the warmest songs we could ask for. The pirate-esque escape is more than welcome and is far beyond what is usually blog-sexed into a painfully trite description of "an old Victorian house with creaking floors" when it comes to anything folk or acoustic guitar based. Bowerbirds are a duo made up of multi-instrumentalists Phil Moore and Beth Tacular from Raleigh, North Carolina. If you visit the Bowerbirds website you can purchase the self-titled 2006 full-length release for a mere $10 USD. The band has recently signed to local North Carolina label Burly Time Records (those guys have beards). Bowerbirds will be performing next Thursday, 11/09 at The Flying Anvil in Greensboro, NC. As always, you'll probably want to check out the Bowerbirds MySpace page to hear more music and add them to your friends list. Finally, Beth also has her own website with some really nice artwork that is available through various showings you'll find listed there. This is yet another highly recommended artist for you.
